| Valerie was inspired to join the beauty industry because of her naturally curly hair. As a child she hated getting her hair cut,
she dreaded it. She always ended up with a haircut that was too short or uneven. She is a creative and detailed person and
was determined to find a solution for herself. It was finding the solution that inspired her to share the knowledge that she has
to help others. Valerie has been in the beauty industry for 23 years. She has trained at Cheynes Hair Academy in Scotland,
Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, and the Tony and Guy Academy in Dallas. She has advanced color analysis and formulation
training in; Goldwell, Wella, Framsi and L’Oreal Professional Color Lines. In addition, she was an educator for Kenra Haircare
for 4 years and Hikari for 2 years. She traveled the United States teaching the latest hairstyles, trends and techniques to
other hairstylists. What she has learned is the beauty industry is consistently evolving and education is key if you are going
to evolve with it. A client can expect to have her undivided attention the entire time they are in her chair. She takes her
time with her clients and is meticulous with her work. She will listen and ask a lot of questions and after doing so will use
her creativity and technical ability to bring their vision to life. |
